The Healing Power of Laughter

Laughter is a powerful healing tool. When you hear someone’s words of rejection, disappointment and fear, think of something you could say to create a journey together with laughter.

It’s difficult to continue seeing the world as a fearful place when we can find something to make us laugh. Notice how small children enjoy laughter, and how popular are books and TV presentations that stimulate laughter.

Everyone has different triggers for laughter, however when our intent is to create light-hearted laughter with another we will always know how to proceed. Remember laughter should arise from light-hearted fun – not from ‘making fun of someone’.

You could think of laughter as a ‘quality of the gods’; something absent in more basic life-forms. To be able to laugh at ourselves, rather than find ways to create self-importance is an art worth practicing.

Please open that forgotten drawer and find the laughter that may have been hidden there since childhood.

Use this gift to create a brighter, happier planet.
